Signet combines end-to-end encrypted messaging with a self-custodial Bitcoin Lightning wallet. Fantom Labs designed and built the private-beta iPhone app for chat and bitcoin payments.
Private messaging and bitcoin payments usually require separate accounts and services; Signet gives both a single private identity without a phone number or collected user data.
Approach
- End-to-end encrypted messaging works without a phone-number identity or conventional account.
- A self-custodial Lightning wallet supports sending, receiving and buying bitcoin behind one recovery phrase.
- The dark, acid-yellow interface unifies chats, contacts and an AUD-denominated wallet without obscuring custody.
